Fall is officially here! And everyone in the south posted memes about how it’s NOT fall (I see you, TX and FL friends!) But I am sharing a short & sweet tip to help us all plan for success this fall, as we continue this 101 Days till Christmas countdown!
What is the BEST tip to plan for success this fall?
I’ll get to that fabulous tip in a minute, but first, you need to define success. What does success look like for you and your family this fall? One definition says “success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.”
Fall is an exciting time of the year! It’s filled with holidays, gatherings with family and friend and tons of yummy food!
Define success for you and your family
Perhaps you’d like to accomplish a few of these worthy things this fall:
- Host a gathering for friends.
- Try to mend a strained relationship with a family member.
- Cook something new and “fall-ish!”
- Try some fall-inspired self care ideas!
- (You fill in the blanks.)
Decide to have a better year than last year
That’s kind of important. Maybe you had a lot of hopes & dreams for a GREAT fall season last year and it was more “meh” and “blah” than YAY! I want this year to be a YAY year for you! On top of defining success for you and your family, let’s resolve to have a better fall season. That could mean being intentional about scheduling that vacation (so it’s less rushed than your previous one.) It could be deciding to sleep a bit earlier or eat a bit healthier or try to go for a run to have more energy to enjoy more Fall things! Whatever it is for you, decide to give it the best shot you can.
And what’s that BEST tip to plan for success this fall?
I can’t take credit for this tip, but I’ve heard it from many people whom I respect, admire and look up to. The BEST tip to plan for success this fall is to Write It Down.
There’s even an article in Forbes about the neuroscience behind WHY it’s so important to WRITE DOWN OUR GOALS!
What are you hoping to accomplish this fall? Is it to spend more quality time with your family? Write it down.
Would you like to eat healthier meals? Write it down.
How about helping your kids with homework or finally training for that marathon that your friend Liliana invited you to run with her? (Wink, wink — that was a note to self…lol!)
Let’s write our “Fall Plan” down! And if you want some accountability, hit me up in the comments. I’d love to hear from you so we can keep each other motivated to go after our Fall Goals!
Laughing (and WRITING IT DOWN) thru life,
Coppelia
