Pick a Chore and Do It! | 28 Day Challenge to Fill Your Home with Love

Pick a Chore & Do It!

Could you use a little inspiration to help you fill your home with love? Today’s tip is part of our 28 Day Challenge to Fill Your Home with Love. It could be “controversial,” but it could also be the thing that gets us a little extra peace at home. Just for today, instead of nagging our hubby or kids about chores that need to be done, try something else. Especially those chores they KNOW they’re supposed to do — pick one and do it for them! No nagging allowed!

Is that even doable? LOL

Yes!

(NOTE: If you haven’t joined the 28 Day Challenge to Fill Your Home with Love yet, start with the first post here!)

For example, if you ALWAYS nag your hubby or kids about making the beds, just for one day, PICK THAT CHORE and do it for them.

We won’t nag about it, expect them to say “thank you” or make a big deal about it. We’re simply going to pick that chore, do it and fill our homes with love.

Your Day 5 Challenge is to Pick a Chore or declare a CHORE FREE DAY!

It’s simple: You pick a chore that your family member is usually expected to do, and just do it for them. OR, you declare a CHORE FREE DAY! (I love that idea!)

I’m thinking a few things here:

In fact, if it would fill your home with love MORE to take a “CHORE FREE DAY,” do that!

You Know Your Family

This was an EPIC moment when we got the keys to our Dream Home! You can read the pretty amazing (miraculous) story here.

You know yourself and your family better than anyone. The truth is that sometimes us moms can get frustrated. There are so many things to do all day, every day, it’s very easy to feel upset at the very people we love most. But as this goes on, daily frustrations can add up to a stressful home.

Instead, today’s challenge to fill your home with love is to pick 1 chore and do it, or declare that CHORE FREE DAY! Just for today, let’s hug, sit on the couch, play a little basketball outside, watch a video on YouTube together and enjoy each other’s company.

You might love this so much, it could become a tradition! Maybe you’ll do this more often, you’ll get more done, the family will be happier and before you know it, your home will be filled with more love.

At least for me, I think it’s worth a try!
