There are some pretty amazing people out there, making dreams come true. Have you come across someone like that recently?
I have!
Sometimes God puts people in our lives, like Mordecai with Queen Esther in the Bible, “For such a time as this.” She had been called to be Queen “For such a time as this.” It was a terrifying time when the queen before her was sent to be killed by her king; a time where people’s lives hung in the balance. Mordecai was in Esther’s life, in part, to challenge her to step into her destiny, live out her calling and confront the king. If she hadn’t, her people would have died. She probably would have died, too.
But she was bold, and her actions saved a nation.
If you’ve been following my personal story, you know I just quit my radio job, after 20 years doing that. My hubby Adam and I prayed a lot about this and we would not have done something so ridiculously and insanely crazy, if we didn’t think it was what God was leading us to do.
And God is just blowing our minds, pretty much every day, with confirmation that this is what we’re supposed to be doing. Pursuing music, speaking, writing … just going for it!
One way we feel God is showing us that we’re on the right track, is by connecting us with just the right people at just the right time. Like Mordecai with Esther, God has been putting some pretty amazing people in our lives “for such a time as this.”
I could write a book (maybe I should) about these amazing people, and tell you more about them. I’ll try to share about them here on this blog in future posts.
On the subject of amazing people in my life, I have to start with the most amazing and significant one whom my soul loves: my husband, Adam Acevedo. <3
This whole dream project of my new website, CoppeliaMarie.com, plus this blog, and so many other plans that are coming together even as you read this (that’s part of the dream!), would not be happening without him. God didn’t just answer my prayers for an amazing husband and father of our kids, He blessed my socks off with the best partner for life I could have ever asked for or imagined. Kind of like God’s word says in Ephesians 3:20-21.
20Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Brace yourself — I’ll be writing more about Adam here in the future, of course. 🙂
But today, something special happened and I want to make sure I give a blog shout-out to our incredibly talented friend, Jaime Arroyo.
About as quickly as we decided to JUMP and take that huge leap of faith that is to leave a secure job to pursue a life-long dream; I heard from people who said, “Coppelia, I want to help you make this happen.”
Jaime is one of those people. He’s been incredibly supportive and encouraging from the first time we met, as part of a church worship team. Today, I walked into his recording studio, where he’s helped so many artists with their dreams, and we worked a little bit on mine.
I can’t begin to describe what it feels like to FINALLY … I mean, FINALLY feel like this is happening. God’s timing is perfect. He has made all things beautiful in His time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
In blogs, sometimes people get paid to promote products & services. That is not the case with this post. I just really wanted to say “Thank You” to a friend for being part of this dream, this project, that I still can’t believe is coming together.
If you have some pretty amazing people in your life, give ’em a shoutout here in the comments! Maybe I’ll end up featuring them (and you) here on the blog! That would be fun!
Laughing through Life,
Coppelia Marie
