Statement of Faith

What I believe about God

I believe “there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” (1 Corinthians 8:6)

I believe the is one true God, the Almighty, omnipotent, omniscient creator of the universe. I believe He desires a personal relationship with His creation through His son, Jesus Christ.

What I believe about Jesus

I believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the Creator.

I believe Jesus Christ was physically born of a virgin, according to ancient prophecy, as it is written in Scripture.

I believe Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures. I believe he was buried and rose again on the third day.

I believe Jesus is equal with God, yet he humbled himself to the point of death on the cross.

I believe one day every knee will bow in Heaven, on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that He is Lord. (Philippians 2:10)

What I believe about the Holy Spirit

I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity, sent to comfort and guide believers.

I believe God sent the Holy Spirit to teach us all things and remind us of what Jesus said while he was here on earth. (John 14:26).

What I believe about the Bible

I believe the Bible is the Holy word of God. I believe it is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training so that the man of God can be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

What I believe about salvation

I believe that “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Romans 10:9-10 ESV
