It’s incredible.
As I sit here, trying to put into words my Thanksgiving Thoughts, I look back at ALL the things I’ve lived through in 2016, just in the past 10-11 months, and it’s crazy to see everything God has brought our family thru:
*January: I quit my radio career of 20 years to pursue DREAMS: Ministry, speaking, singing & writing my first book!
*February: Launched my website & saw God confirm our crazy leap of faith to pursue ministry dreams when two crazy things happened: I got to sing an original song on TV (TBN’s Houston affiliate KETH) AND I got invited to lead worship in California! I cried on the plane. I just couldn’t believe all this was actually happening!!!
*April: My hubby had a seizure that led us to the scary diagnosis of brain tumor #2. Thankfully, it was benign, but I heavily doubted my decision to quit & wondered if I made a huge mistake, as our bright future suddenly looked blurry.
*June: I turned 40 and posted my first vlog series on my newly designed & curated YouTube channel!
*July: MD Anderson for my Hubby’s surgery … and the release of my first book, “Whole: How One Book Can Transform Your Whole Life.” Crazy month to say the least.
*August: Back to School, thankful that we made it through a crazy summer, only by God’s grace. And an extra special highlight–I led worship at the Sugar Creek en Español women’s retreat –what a BLESSING!
*September: This. Was. A. Miracle. My cousin had a dream Disney wedding that I couldn’t RSVP for, not knowing what would happen with my hubby–would he be recovered? Could we afford it? Honestly, when I realized God had healed Adam (again), and had provided financially, I about lost it. Guys, God is SO GOOD!!!!
*October: Back on the radio?! I did NOT see this coming, but when my NGEN friends called, asking if I could fill-in, I happily said yes! 🙂
*November: My daughter turned 7 and, as I looked around at our friends celebrating this milestone, I thanked God again for all the miracles He’d already done.
And I’m thankful in advance for the month of December– my favorite!!! Christmas trees, singing, lights, peppermint mochas…I can’t wait! And this year, it’ll be extra amazing because our family is together, healthy and stronger than before.
Thank you, Lord!
I pray you and your family have a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
Laughing (and thanking God) thru life,
