When my friend Dawn first told me about Ebates a few years ago while we still lived in California, I shrugged and signed up for it, thinking “sure, why not.”

Fast forward to three conversations with friends here in Houston over the past months. We were talking about online shopping and Christmas gifts, and I remembered Ebates! I thought, you know, if you’re going to shop online, you might as well get cash back for it. So I shared my “Tell-A-Friend” link with them via texts & emails.

Up until that point, my husband and I were both getting some modest cash back checks every now and then. But THEN, when my three friends all decided to sign up and use Ebates, all of a sudden, I got my first big check!!! What a surprise!

The great thing is, they got cash back, too, on their 1st sign up + purchase(s)! YEAH!

Granted, for many people $100 bucks is no big deal. However, if I have a choice between shopping online (+ no cash back) or shopping online with Ebates (+ $20, $50 or $100 cash back), it’s a pretty easy choice for me.
